You can only get a specific number for an expression if you assign numbers to the variables. As an expression, the existing expression cannot be simplified.
x y squared is a formula
For Example-
Say x was 3 and y was 5 squared
Then it would be 3 squared times 5 squared 9x25=225
That would be your result.....
Although...
If the variables had no numbers in the equations answer...
Then the answer would stay the same
x y (squared)
it is 225
(x2 - y2)/(x - y) = (x + y)(x - y)/(x - y) = x + y
it is (x-y)(x-y) :)
Only when X or Y = 0 That is because (x + y) squared = x^2 + 2xy + y^2 x^2 + 2xy + y^2 = x^2 + y^2 when x or y = 0
X + y
Y squared (Y^2)
The factoring is as follows: x2 - y2 = (x + y) * (x - y)
The GCF is xy
(x+y)2
-1
multiply by 2y/x
2
5(x^2 + y)
