You take it and roll it out and use a length measuring tool to measure it's approximate length in yards feet inches centimeters etc... :)
To measure a leaf? A Ruler with a Centimeter measurement on it. Or if your like me and the distance from you knuckle to your thumb is 1in, use that ^-^
If you want to measure the length, use a ruler.
