Weight is a measure of force that is dependent on the physical environment the object is in. For example: A rock on earth may weigh 50 newtons, but on the moon, due to there being less gravity, will weigh 20 newtons. Mass stays the same no matter what the environment the object is in, so a rock on Earth may weigh 100 kilograms, but on the moon it will weigh 100 kilograms as well.

Units for Mass: Grams (g), Kilograms (kg), Pounds (lbs) etc.

Units for Weight: Newtons (n)
