Bricks would hit the ground first for example a tv is about 30 pounds and the tv remote is about 5 pounds now multiply those by 5 5×5 is 25 and 30×5 is 150 now put that as pounds witch is heavier 25 or 150 its 150 so bricks would hit the ground first

Foam bricks can be laid as you would lay the bricks used to build houses. As the foam bricks are very light, and easily knocked over, it would be an advantage to glue the bricks with PVA as they are laid (the same as using mortar to bond bricks).

Bricks are made from clay, baked hard in kilns. If the bricks weren't solid, then building would collapse.
Either one will work, the type with holes will work better- HOWEVER- the real secret is having a good tiedown anchor, which the bricks alone will not do. This is multiple steel straps that run to driven ground anchors.
