YES! Rhode Island is actually thefirst place the pilgrums settled. they spent a winter there and relized that it was too cold and forests were everywhere so the got back in the mayflower and sailed to plymoth whitch is now present day Massachustes.

The Pilgrims never made it to Rhode Island even after their settlement spread out. They first tried to stay at Provincetown on Cape Cod.
