There should be much more to the marking than that. That is only part of a patent date. Leads me to believe the gun is in pretty sad condition if that is all that is legible. Anyway, Stevens Favorite rifles were produced in several different models with slightly different features. Sometimes just the sights make the difference. Would need a LOT more detailed information and pictures if possible. sales@countrygunsmith.net
