A fully functional utility double-barrel shotgun should sell between $150 and $250, depending on condition. Being a 16 gauge will increase the value a bit in some areas of the country and reduce it in other places.
this gun has two models 1017 on other side model311A J C Higgins sears roebuck company 16ga dubble barrel need price gun is worth thanks
My cross-reference list says this is a Stevens 311 double barrel, so it should be worth $150-$250, depending on condition.
"J.C. Higgins" was used by Sears as a brand name from 1946 to 1962. That should gve you a general idea of age. As far as I can tell, the 16 GA was manufactured throughout that time period. As for price, I payed $225, and have seen them from 175 to 250 depending on condition. For a more certain answer, check out the gun bluebook.
