Here are two methods you can use to compare fractions.
1) Convert to a common denominator. Then compare the numerators.
2) Convert both fractions to decimal, using a calculator. For example, 2/3 = 0.66666... (that is, you divide 2 by 3).

Nope... one half is bigger than two fifths.
It is seven tenths.
One half is bigger then two fifths.
Two fifths is 40% and one third is ~33% :)
Nine tenths plus two fifths minus one fourth is equal to 1.05
One half is bigger than two fifths because two fifths just before 2.5 fifths which is half.
Three fifths is bigger than one half. Two fifths is smaller than one half.
One fourth is bigger.
