You're using the formula m=c x v(mass=concentration x volume). So m= 5L x .5g/L. The liters cancel each other out and the answer is 2.5grams.

What is the percent concentration when 30gms of codeine is dissolved in 2 liters of solution?

Codeine is 299.364 grams per mole; 30 grams in 2 liters is 0.0501 moles per liter.

What is the molarity of a solution is defined as?

The concentration in moles of a substance in the solution

What is the molor concentration of a solution which contains 55 grams of magnesium oxide in 2.5 leter of solution?

0.9051 moles Mg per liter of solution. Molarity is the amount of moles per liter of solution. So just divide the number of grams of Mg by its molar mass then divide that by the number of liters

What is concentration of a solution in grams per liter when 80 grams of nacl is dissolved in 2 liter of soultion?

I'm surprised you need to ask this question. You're dissolving 80 grams in two liters so you'd dissolve 40 grams in one liter. I wonder what school you go to that means you need to ask this.

What is 667.54 milligrams per liter into grams per ton?

667,54 milligrams per liter = 667, 54 grams per 1000 liters (or 1 m3). Liter or milliliter are units of volume, tonne is a unit of mass. We need the density of the solution to express the concentration in per tonne.

How many grams of a drug must be used to prepare 2 liters of a 1 percent solution?

1% solution = 1 gram per 100 mL, 10 grams per liter 20 grams

How many grams of glucose are needed to make one liter of a 1.0 molar solution?

186g C6H12O6 Use a concentration formula. Molarity - moles of solute/liters of solution. molarity = 1 moles of solute= x liters= 1 solve the equation and x= 1. One mole of glucose is equal to 186 grams.

What concentration of salt is used in an isotonic solution?

In an isotonic solution ready to be infused in a human body the concentration of sodium chloride (NaCl) is 9 grams for 1 liter of sterile plain water (H2O).

How much 75.66MKCL is required toprepare 1L of solution?

I did not know that you could get a concentration of 75.66 M KCl, but; Molarity = moles of solute/Liters of solution 75.66 M KCl = moles KCl/1 liter = 75.66 moles of KCl 75.66 moles KCl (74.55 grams/1 mole KCl) = 5640 grams KCl that is about 13 pounds of KCl in 1 liter of solution. This is why I think there is something really wrong with this problem!

A drug has a concentration of 45mgml how many grams of the drug are in 1 liter of the solution?

1 liter = 1000 mL 1 gram = 1000 mg So there are 45,000 mg in 1 liter divided by 1000 mg per gram = 45 grams/liter

How can you express the concentration of a substance mathematically?

In chemistry, the concentration of a substance in solution is determined by molarity, which is symbolized by "M". This indicates the number of moles of a substance dissolved in one liter of a solvent (usually water). For example: - 1 mole of sodium chloride = 58 grams - If 116 grams of sodium chloride are dissolved in 1 liter of water, then that solution is a 2-molar (2 M) solution of sodium chloride. - If 232 grams of sodium chloride are dissolved in 1 liter of water, then that solution is a 4-molar (4 M) solution of sodium chloride.

If 154 grams of glucose are dissolved to yield one liter of solution what is the molarity of the solution?

Molarity = moles of solute/Liters of solution Find moles glucose, which is molecular formula------C6H12O6 154 grams C6H12O6 (1 mole C6H12O6/180.156 grams) = 0.8548 moles C6H12O6 Molarity = 0.8548 moles C6H12O6/1 Liter = 0.855 M glucose ---------------------------
