Equivalent fractions are when there are two or more fractions that are equal to the same amount. For example if you were to have a cake and slice it in half (two equal slices using the whole cake) and you took 1/2 it would be equal to taking 2/4 or 4/8. These are the easiest equivalent fractions to learn as if you double the denominator, you double the numerator. You can also do this with mixed number fractions. 1 and 1/2 is equivalent to 3/2 because you have 2 pieces in the full one and you have one piece in the other cake, and 2 add 1 = 3 therefore you must have 3/2 but its an improper fraction so you must convert it into a mixed number fraction which is the 1,1/2.
Hope this helped :)
You can multiply or divide the numerator and the denominator by the same number. Here is an example for finding the equivalent fraction of 4/7;
4x2= 8
7x2=14
The answer is 8/14! :D
It's simply an alternative way to write the same fraction. For example, an equivalent fraction for 1/2 could be 2/4, 3/6 or 12/24. They all represent the same value (one half) - just not in its simplest form.
It would be nice to have the various pairs in the question
It is fraction which has the same mathematical value.
similar ratios
They are alike because yu can turn a ratio into a fraction or it is already one.
fractions equivale nt to 1/4 = 2/8, 3/12, 4/20, ...
100 over 300 and 2 over 6
Math is involved after you complete the punnett square because you find the phenotypic ratio, so that is numbers[while the genotype is letters with dominant and recessive gene alleles]. In the genotype part, you find the genotypic fractions of different matches out of the given number of crosses. For example, if you do four crosses with Aa and Aa in a punnett square, you will have 3/4 dominant A and 1/4 recessive a as the four crosses, which are the genotypic fractions. The phenotypic ratio is 1 dominant pair, 2 heterozygous, and 1 recessive pair, or 1:2:1.
Fractions? correct answer is factions not fractions
1/3 and 264/792 is.
Find google
1/2 and 2/4
28/5 and 7/2.
4/10, 6/15
First, simplify this fraction to simplest terms. That will give you one equivalent fraction. If you want additional equivalent fractions, multiplying numerator and denominator by the same number will give you additional equivalent fractions.
Non-equivalent fractions are fractions that are not equal
I think that equivalent fractions are fractions that have the same answer, at he end.
Equivalent fractions are fractions that have the same value as another fraction.
They are 9/10 and 5/6.
Equivilent means same fractions.
Yes! If your fractions are equivalent.
