All formulas in Excel must begin with the equals sign, and that includes ones that just use functions. Without the equals sign, it will be treated as a piece of text.
The prefix tri- means 3 and the prefix tetra- means 4. The prefix is the subscript number for the element in the compound. So the formula for triphosphorus tetrabromide is P3Br4.
The formula for nitrogen trifluoride is NF3. The prefix tri- means 3, so trifluoride means three fluorine atoms. No prefix in front of nitrogen is understood to be 1.
B2O3: Note that the prefix "di-" means two and the prefix "tri-" means three.
The formula for Heptasulfur Dioxide is S7O2.
Resign, design, consign, are three examples.
The prefix di- means 2, and the prefix tetra- means 4, so the formula for diphosphorus tetrabromide is P2Br4.
