the runner who runs a kilometer in 4 minutes
kilometer is about 0.8 of a mile, so if take someone double to run a mile, they're worse.
The runner would be running at 6.67 miles per hour. This is answered by dividing 60 (minutes in an hour) by 9 (minutes it took for one mile). You are basically saying that the runner will run a mile every 9 minutes, so how many '9 minutes' (each mile ran) are in an hour.
If a runner runs a mile in 4 minutes 30 seconds he is averaging 13.33 MPH over the total distance.
30 mph, as a mile is longer than a kilometer.
1 mile = 1.6093 kilometers 1 kilometer = 0.6214 mile
A mile. because 1000 meters is a kilometer and a mile is longer than a kilometer!!!

Well, a mile is pretty close to 1.6 kilometers. So it should take you about 1.6 times longer to walk a full mile, than to walk a single kilometer. Therefore, if it takes you 20 minutes to walk that mile, then you'll have finished walking a kilometer in around 12.5 minutes.

No 1 mile = 1.6 kilometer 1 kilometer = 0.62 mile
probably under 6 minutes
10mph average
The average time for a mile is about 8 minutes, for runners its 6 minutes, so a sub six minute mile is good for a runner and a sub seven for nonrunners.
1 mile = 1.6 kilometer 1 kilometer = 0.62 mile
It depends on how experienced you are as a runner. Beginner: 3 miles or so (11-12 min/mile) Average runner: about 3.5 miles (10 min/mile) Fast: about 4.5 miles (8 min/mile) Experienced XC runner: about 5 miles (7 min/mile) Elite runner/really awesome XC runner: about 6-7 miles (5-6 min/mile) Anything faster than 5 min/mile for 35 minutes is craziness. If you ran more than 7 miles in 35 minutes...you don't need to be asking whether that's a good number of miles :P
