There aren't any religious leaders in Hinduism.

other person: yes there is. Their prophet, (which doesn't hold all the power) is called the Maharishi. The leader of a single Hindu monestary is called the shankaracharya. Those who hold most of the power are probably the gurus and Satgurus.

Shankaracharya is not a leader of Hinduism. There are no leaders. Maharishis in the past may have defined what Hinduism is today but there are none any more. There are spiritual people whom people may worship but none can claim to be a leader and people are free to practice the religion the way they want to.
