most scientific community uises metric and only America uses English units
Only three countries still cling to the "English" system, whereas the whole world uses metric. The SI units were established in 1960 as part of a review of the metric system used at the time; it uses metric units because it is the current version of the metric system.
The world uses for measuring of mass or weight the SI units kilograms or grams. Only three nations have not officially adopted the International System of Units as their primary or sole system of measurement: Liberia, Myanmar and the United States. Not necessarily. "Tons" may refer to metric tons, or to imperial tons, which are slightly different. If you live in a country that usually uses metric units, then it can probably be assumed that metric tons is used. If you live in a country that usually uses imperial units, the other type of ton is probably assumed. In case of doubt, better to specify which "ton" is meant, or avoid using "tons" altogether.

The SI (metric) system uses the same units of time.

Most sciences employ the metric system of measurement. In fact, most of the world in general uses the metric system.Technically, the standard set of units most often used is called SI units, although many of them are similar to the metric system. See the Related Questions link for all the SI units.

the international system of units or SI units have 7 base units for the measurement of different types of quantities. it uses the following units: meter - length kilogram - mass second - time kelvin - temperature ampere - current candela - luminous intensity mole - amount of substance
Most of the world uses the metric system for measurement. The main units used outside of the U.S.A. is the metric system or SI (System Internationale).
There is no difference they are the same thingAnswerSI is the current version of the metric system. For example, the centimetre, the calorie, and the litre are examples of metric units, but they are not SI units.

Actually the rest of the world uses the metric system, the United States are the only ones who have not changed. There is not particular reason besides that the rest of the world uses it.
Because the metric system uses units of 10's to measure which makes things simple.
The version of the metric system that modern scientist uses is called The International System of Units or SI.
