Not all prime numbers are odd. There is one Prime number that is even: 2. A prime number is a number with two and only two factors: 1 (also known as unity) and itself. A composite number is a number with more than two factors. All even numbers are divisible by 2. Thus, all even numbers have 2 as a factor, which means that all even numbers greater than 2 have more than two factors, so they cannot be prime numbers.

No, not all numbers that are odd are prime, such as: 1 (natural number) and 15 (composite number) Same thing with all the even numbers for example: 2 is prime. Prime definition: numbers that have only 2 factors (1 and itself).

A prime number has only 2 factors which are 1 and itself. Composite numbers are everything else except 1 and 0. 1 and 0 are neither prime, nor composite. Not all odd numbers are prime.

What different between odd number and prime number?

While all prime numbers are odd (except 2), not all odd numbers are prime. 9 for example is an odd number, but you can get it by multiplying 3X3, so it is not prime. Odd numbers are numbers that are not divisible by 2. Prime numbers are numbers that cannot be generated by multiplying 2 whole numbers besides 1 and itself.
