Simply put to insure quality...

There are many kinds of calibration standards out there. We at, Exaxol, make ICP, AA, Ion Chromatography, EPA, pH, and Conductivity standards among other things. They all have different shelf lives due to there matrix or stabilizers. Many require high purity acids to dissolve in solution and over time CO2 from the air will make carbonic acid in your standardized solution. This will affect pH dependent solutions and add impurities.

Tolerances are a big deal in many industries and even mechanical and digital measuring devices such as scales and electrodes need to be checked annually to maintain accuracy in your work.

I added a link to a more lengthy pH discussion if you were looking for more than a short answer response!

How do you reset compass on 1997 olds bravada- no owner's manual?

THIS IS RIGHT OUT OF THE MANUAL FOR 97 OLDS BRAVADA THAT I OWN....The compass is self-calibrating, so it does not need to be manually set. However, if C (Calibration) is displayed, the compass will need to be calibrated. You may also place the compass in a non-calibrated mode by pressing and holding the MODE and US/MET buttons simultaneously while in the COMP/TEMP mode. After about 10 seconds, the compass will display C and you can release the buttons. Drive the vehicle in a complete 360 degree circle three times at a speed of less than 5 mph, and the compass will function normally. Once the calibration is complete, the compass will return to a compass reading

What are three reasons why borax is a good primary standard?

Borax has a high purity level, making it suitable for accurate and reproducible calibration. It has a stable chemical composition, which ensures consistent results over time. Borax is easily accessible, cost-effective, and not as sensitive to air and moisture as some other primary standards.

Where is the calibration machine in Club penguin?

In Secret Agent Mission 5 once you have the three "elements" you return and G will tell you to put them into the "calibration machine". I had this same problem- not being able to find it. Next to the goggles is a funnel thing that you click when you have one of the elements in your hand- it should go in.
