What is a problem compressor cant fill dive tanks?

you are probably talking about a garage compressor, in which case the output of that is around 200 psi max, your scuba tank needs 3000 psi, that little compressor will get nowhere near that. not to mention the garage compressors put out wet, dirty air, nothing you want to be breathing or cycling through your marker. If you want to get a compressor that will fill that scuba it is going to cost you around $3000-$5000 for a used one.

What is the paintball tank adapter for air compressors?

if your talking about a garage air compressor there is no adapter, (or more accurately even if there is one it wouldn't work) a garage compressor puts out around 150-200 psi at most, a HPA tank needs 3,000-4,500 psi. not only that but the garage compressor uses wet dirty air, something you do not want going through your marker. If you are looking to have a fill at home you can get a scuba tank and a fill station for it. fill the scuba tank at your local dive shop and then you can fill off of it when you are at home

Why does car make hissing noise when trying to start. does not start and RPM's dont move and have full battery whats wrong?

The noise is difficult to diagnose over a forum, but if the battery is charged correctly, and is hissing as you put it, the starter motor may not be working correctly, get a second opinion from a garage

What is a hissing sound coming from the drivers side of your Mercedes ML350?

Just know that if that is happening you are in serious trouble as it means that your brakes are leaking. In MLs the brakes use air pressure so if there is a hissing sound it means air is leaking thus your brakes could possibly fail. The best solution is to go to a registered Mercedes Benz garage so they can fix the problem. Alternatively if you dont have the money you could pretend that there is no noise and eventually you brakes will fail and you'll be in an accident i.e. GET YOU BRAKES FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

You want to run power from your home you have a 200 amp in the house to a garage that you recently built you have 110 and 220 outlets The only 220 you plan on running is a small air compressor What?

The voltage for the air compressor is needs to come from a double (two) pole breaker. The size of the breaker needs to be 250% of the full load amps of the compressor. The wire size to the compressor has to be 125% of the full load amps of the compressor.

How do you change an ac compressor on a 99 Mazda 626?

Legally you can't without the EPA's Secton 609 certifacation, because any refrigerant in the system must be removed by a licensed technician. And even if its empty of refrigerant, after you relace the compressor you must pull a vacuum on the system to remove air and moisture. I would recomend taking it to a garage. The guy above probably owns an AC garage. You need to have a certified mechanic "discharge" and "re-charge" the refrigerant. However, the act of replacing the AC compressor can be done by you (although this depends on "you"). My local shop charges $85 to remove the refrigerant and replace it again after I have changed out the compressor. Tomorrow I will take the old compressor off and put the new one in...from what I gather so far...this entails removing the plastic cover below the compressor, remove the belt, remove the compressor, replace the new one and use a wrench on the belt "auto-tensioner" to get the belt back on. Run the car and make sure it works properly...then take it back to the garage, get the refrigerant re-charged and you should be good to go!

Storing your Air Compressor?

To complete your ultimate garage workshop you purchased an air compressor to complete your power tool collection. But where do you put it? What kind of air compressor you have will determine where to place this important piece of machinery. If you purchased a single-stage portable compressor, these are easy to carry or have wheels that allow you to roll it around anywhere in your garage. Many are small enough that you could place them in a baseboard cabinet or under a large workbench so that it is out of your way until you need it. Most portable compressors run off of a standard 120 volt outlet, so you can plug it in anywhere in your work space. But what if you have a larger two-stage air compressor? Because they aren't portable, these beasts need to be as close to a power outlet as possible. In addition, two-stage compressors have much more horsepower than a portable one, and you need to make sure your you're running the compressor through a 220 volt outlet. And while a portable air compressor can be wheeled anywhere out of the way, a two-stage compressor needs a permanent home where it you won't have to work around it. Placing your compressor in the middle of two workbenches may not be the most ideal spot. Instead, place the air compressor in a corner that has a convenient outlet. You can also make your own little closet for your compressor. Just build your enclosure to fit both the compressor and you comfortably. However, if you want to enclose a two-stage air compressor, remember to have adequate ventilation. Since it can not be moved like a portable compressor, it needs to have one or two vents to allow the compressor to take in air and dissipate heat. Whether you decide to get a portable or a two-stage air compressor, be sure you have a place to store it. Giving the compressor a dedicated home will keep it out of the way so that it does not get damaged while you work. When it is kept clean and well maintained, your air compressor will provide you with many years of faithful service.

How do you find out how much an air compressor costs you in electric?

To continue my question...I just found out that the tenant that rents out the garage is using the electrical outlet to plug in all sorts of tools to repair his cars. One of them is an air compressor.I do not want to confront him until I can figure out a ballpark figure of what it is costing me.I have to somehow convert the specifications of the compressor into KWH so I can get an idea of how to do the equation, but I have no clue as to how to do this.I also do not know what specific air compressor he has, so I will use the specifications of one from the Sears site as a basic estimate. If he is using a 2 Horsepower compressor, how do I figure out the KWH? My electric bill says it costs me KWH @ $ .0859.Can someone give me a simple equation to figure out the cost per hour of a basic compressor.

How do you remove the drivers door on a 2002 Silverado to replace hinge bushings and pins?

This is easily done without removing the complete door assembly. All you need to do is find a garage beam to tie your door up in the open posirion or find a floorjack and blocks to prop up the rear of the door in the open position. You WILL NEED a doorspring compressor. Almost impossible to do w/out one. Both NAPA and Harbor Freight(the cheapest) carry them.

Why pumps not used to pump the gases?

That's not strictly true. Gases are pumped by using pumps such as piston pumps and vane pumps. A garage compressor has the air pumped into the tank by a piston pump. Even a bicycle pump is often used. however, when gases are "pumped" it by definition becomes a compressor. pumps move basically un-compressible fluids. low pressure gas transfer is termed a blower, while higher pressure usage requires a compressor.
