She was also the first president who organized free and democratic elections that put Jean-Bertrand Aristide on power in 1991. She is also the brilliant author of several reference books (Law, history, politics, woman rights etc) . Ertha Pascal-Trouillot means a lot to the people of Haiti and to every other nation who knows her for her immaculate reputation and her intellect.
