Because it can do everything a calculator can do and a lot more besides. There are too many reasons to list. Things like being able to do graphs, or being able to see the lists of figures, rather than one at a time, a wider range of functions, the ability to do formatting, the ability to print out results and the ability to do much more complex calculations. Those are just some, but there are many more.

you use a calcutor normaly for times and adding and dividing and taking away in maths at schools you use this but in ict you use a spreadsheet software by puting your item what you want or need then you do how many or somthing like that then finaly you click and add times and didvide and takeaway then there is your answer its take time but its fun most schools used this way.
