well, Albert Einstein created it and it is called pie because a pie is always used in fractional math
It is called a pie chart because it is circular... like a pie. They are used for math, statistics, and algebra. The pie represents it being a whole.
PI is a math term and pie is a food Pie tastes better. I do however wish pie never ended, but that would be irrational.
