because when you find the volume of a rectangular prism you basically get the area of the base and multiply it by its height and for the cylinder the area of its base = pi(r^2) which you then multiply by its height to give you its volume no way in hell am i explaing to you the calculus and limit stand point of this >_>; sorry

To get the volume of a multiply pi by the radius squared and then multiply by the height.?

That is correct for finding the volume of a cylinder.

What is the formula for finding the area of a circle and for finding the volume of a cylinder?

Area of a circle = (pi)r2 [Areacircle = pi time the radius squared.] Volume of a cylinder = (pi)r2h [Volumecylinder = pi times the radius squared times the height.] (This applies to a right circular cylinder. :)

The formula for finding the volume of a cylinder?

π R² H Pi radius squared by height

What is the volume of 10 in of an cylinder?

Volume of a cylinder = pi*radius squared*height

How do you find the radius of a cylinder with a volume of 2355?

That will depend on its height which has not been given but the volume of a cylinder is pi*radius squared*height.

How do you find the volume of a cone that fits exactly inside a cylinder?

volume=pi*radius squared*height/3, where radius is the radius of the cylinder (and will be the radius of the base of the cone),and height is the lenth of the cylinder.

What is the height of a cylinder when only given the volume and radius?

Since the formula for the volume of a cylinder is PI time the radius squared times the height we can calculate the height from the other two values. The height is the volume divide by PI times the radius squared.

What is the formula for the area of a circle and the volume of a cylinder are related?

The formula for area of a circle is radius squared times pi. The formula for volume of a cylinder is radius squared times pi times height.

What is r2 when measuring the volume of a cylinder?

r2 (r2) refers to the radius of the cylinder squared.

What is pi times the radius squared times the height?

This is the volume of a cylinder.

What is is the cylinder volume?

Pi x radius squared x height

What is cylinder volume?

pi x radius squared x height.
