You are a side-base for cheer right now but am trying out to be a flyer any tips?

Tips: 1. Always be tight! Learn to do the "vacuum."
2. Always listen to your coach!
3. Do do be afraid to try new things - your bases will catch you. =]
4. "Push off" your bases when loading into a stunt - this makes it much easier for them to lift you.
5. Practice balancing yourself on the middle of your feet - it is easier for bases to hold your foot if you're not toeing or heeling.

You might want to consider taking tumbling for a little while to build up some skills needed for cheer. I don't live there but I found some gyms online you could check out: Victory Cheer, Magnitude Cheer, and Platinum All-Stars Elite Cheerleading. You would have to check out the gyms yourself to see if you like them! Good luck!!
