A decimal number is simply a way of representing a number in such a way that the place value of each digit is ten times that of the digit to its right. A decimal representation does not require a decimal point. So the required decimal representation is 720, exactly as in the question. Also, 8 is an integer, not a fraction so there is no sensible way to represent it as a fraction. However, if you must, you could write is as 720/1.

To convert a fraction to a decimal divide the numerator by the denominator.

To convert a number to a percentage multiply it by 100 %

720 = 720/1 = 720 ÷ 1 = 720

720 = 720 × 100 % = 72000 %

However, I suspect that you may have entered 7/20 and the slash was stripped out due to limitations.

→ 7/20 = 7 ÷ 20 = 0.35

→ 7/20 = 7/20 × 100 % = 35 %
