A composite number has more than 2 factors.

A Prime number has only has 2 factors which are itself and one.

Note that 1 is neither a composite number or a prime number because it has only one factor.

There is no number that is prime and composite - the two are opposites.

A prime number is a number that cannot be divided by any other number e.g. 7

A composite number is a number that can be made up of prime numbers, all numbers except primes and 1.
