To find the greater common factor (GCF) of two ( or more) numbers, factorise each number.

Hence

126

has factors of 2,3,3,7

315

has factors of 3,3,5,7

The common factors are '3' , '3' again and '7'.

Multiply together

3 x 3 x 7 =

9 x 7 = 63 The GCF of 126, & 315.

NB The '2' & '5' are NOT common to both numbers.
