Ax + By = C

If the slope of "x" was 3, and the slope of "y" was 7, then the equation would look like this:

3x + 7y = C (and C would be an integger, such as 21)

I think it has something to do with 'the power to' e.g 22 is 2x2 or 28 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2

Standard form is a graph. There are different graphs for different things.

Standard form is the number written in the way we usually see it, in digits. For example, 1,275,983.68 for one million, two hundred seventy-five thousands, nine hundred eighty-three and sixty-eight hundredths. Hope this helps!

Standard form is very simple.

You are told to write numbers in their 'standard form'.

This means that the number must be written out like this..

6439 = 6.439 x10^3

The 3 is there because you have to move the decimal place 3 times to get the original number.

If it is a number below 0...

0.48242 = 4.8242 x10^-4

Some examples

232 = 2.32 x10^2

0.32349 = 3.2349 x10^-4
