Yes- but not all isosceles triangles are right triangles. Isosceles means that two sides are the same length, and two angles are the same.

The geometrical figures, including isosceles triangles, are congruent if they are identical in shape and size.

If they are of the same shape but not of the same size, then they are similar triangles. For two similar triangles, there is a correspondence between their vertices such that corresponding angles are equal and the ratios of the corresponding sides are equal.

Thus, not all isosceles triangles are congruent.

No. For a triangle to be isosceles, it must have 2 angles both equal to x, and one angle equal to y where 2x + y = 180o. For two triangles to be similar, they must have all 3 angles equal.

An example of 2 triangles which are both isosceles, yet not similar are triangle ABC with angles 50o, 50o and 80o, and triangle DEF with angles 40o, 40o and 100o.

Are all isosceles triangles congruent?

no because isosceles triangles only have two congruent sides and the other one is different

What are all of the types of triangles?

There are three basic types of triangles. Equilateral triangles have three congruent (equal) sides and three sixty-degree angles. Isosceles triangles have two congruent sides and the two angles opposite those sides are also congruent. Scalene triangles have no congruent sides or angles. Right triangles are another type of triangle and they have one ninety-degree angle. Right triangles can either be scalene or isosceles.

Does a obtuse angled isosceles triangle have congruent side?

All isosceles triangles must have two congruent sides otherwise it is not isosceles. Whether it is acute angled, right angled or obtuse angled is irrelevant.

Can all 4 sided shape be made by two right angled triangles?

Absolutely. Any two congruent right triangles will form a rectangle, and if the right triangles are isosceles right triangles, they will form a square.

Are all equilateral triangles also isosceles triangles?

Yes, an isosceles triangle is a triangle that has at least two congruent sides.

What triangle has at least two congruent sides?

Isosceles Triangle Isosceles TriangleIsosceles triangles have at least 2 congruent sides, and equilateral triangles have all 3 sides equal. A scalene triangle has no congruent sides or angles. All triangles have 180 degrees total. An equilateral triangle has three congruent sides and an isosceles triangle has two congruent sides.

Can equilateral triangles be isosceles triangles?

no. Equilateral triangles have all equal sides. Isoceles triangles only have 2 congruent sides. Isosceles triangles have 2 equal sides.

Can an isosceles triangle Always be a right triangle?

In an isosceles triangle, two angles, and therefore sides (Base Angle Theorem), are congruent. This does not mean that all isosceles triangles are also right triangles - there is only one (45, 45, 90 triangle).

Are the diagonals of an isosceles always congruent?

If you mean an isosceles triangle then no because all triangles have no diagonals

Are all right triangles isosceles triangles?

no

What is the name of the geometric solid with four faces that are congruent triangles?

Isosceles TetrahedronA solid with four faces is a tetrahedron. Each of the faces is a triangle. If all the triangles are congruent, you have an isosceles tetrahedron.

Are all right triangles an isosceles triangles?

Yes- but not all isosceles triangles are right triangles. Isosceles means that two sides are the same length, and two angles are the same.
