Theres the Geocentric model, with earth at the centre and the planets and sun revolving around us. Then there is the Heliocentric model, with the sun at the centre and all of the planets including Earth revolving about it. The second model is the correct model, though for many years people assumed incorrectly that the Earth was at the centre of the universe.

∙ 12y agoOne of the models of the solar system is the Earth-Centered Model. The other is the Sun-Centered Model. Earth-Centered Model: Greek scientists though that the planets, Sun, and Moon rotated around the Earth; included Earth, the Moon, the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. Sun-Centered Model: Nicholas Copernicus stated that the Moon revolved around Earth and the other planets including Earth revolved around the Sun, the daily movement of the stars is caused by the Earth's rotation.

∙ 14y agoif your talking about the two groups of planets it would be the Jovian planets which are all of the gas giants (Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus) and then the inner rocky planets which I'm pretty sure are classified as terrestial planets. (Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.)
