First of all, there is no such thing as "square acres". The unit of area here is "acres".

Next, the area doesn't tell you the shape or the dimensions. There are an infinite number

of different shapes and different rectangles with different dimensions that all have the

same area inside.

-- If your 18,000 acres is inside a circle, then the diameter of the circle is 31,596 feet,

or about 5.984 miles.

-- If your 18,000 acres is inside a square, then each side of the square is 28,001 feet long,

or about 5.303 miles.

-- If your 18,000 acres is inside a rectangle, there are an infinite number of sets of length

and width that it could have.

For example:

-- It could be 3.125 miles wide and 9 miles long.

-- It could be 1 mile wide and 28.125 miles long.

-- It could be 660 feet wide and 225 miles long.
