If one can is 16 oz. wouldn't you multiply that by 36 (the number of cans in a case) and get your weight?

cans and bottles are listed by volume, not weight (ie Fl. Oz).

The contents may weigh more or less than 1 oz per fl oz.

plus there is the weight of the containers.

and 36 in a case?

1 refrigerator case of cokes is 24 12oz cans, and 16 oz is equivalent to 1 lb then 12oz times 24 cans (12oz/can x24cans) equals 288oz. Now take 288oz devide it by 16oz which equals 18lbs. [288oz÷16oz (or 1lb)=18lbs]

A case of soda typically weighs around 20-25 pounds, although this can vary based on the size and type of sodas in the case.

Coke in the 24-can "refrigerator" packaging = 21 pounds. (Regular/classic coke)
