Water weighs 8.34 lbs per gallon, so 5 would weigh 41.7 lbs.
That completely depends on what substance you have in the bucket, and how full it is.
If the substance is water and the bucket is full to the rim, then it contains 41.73 pounds
of water. Other substances will have different weights.
If the bucket is empty, then its volume is still 5 gallons, but its weight is virtually zero,
not including the weight of the empty bucket of course.
A five gallon bucket of dirt is equal to approximately 39 pounds. One gallon of dirt is equal to approximately 7.8 pounds.
41.75 pounds of water will go into a 5 gallon bucket.

Dirt can mean so many different things. It can be very dry, dusty "dirt" that might contain a lot of vermiculite or dried organic materials like peat, it can be dense damp clay, or anything in between. Heft a potted plant before and after watering. At 120lb/ cf 1 gallon would weigh about 16 lbs. At 100 lb/cf 1 gallon would weigh 100/7.48 = 13.4 lbs. it all depends on the unit weight of the soil which depends on moisture content and density.
This answer will vary depending on what type of dirt it is, if it is a yard high, or a yard long, or whether there are particles in the dirt that will cause it to be heavier, such as water. But a normal yard high of dirt and I am assuming this as if it is a yard long and high, would be about ten to twenty pounds. This is answered off of the top of my head, so don't think it as 100% correct. Hope I helped you well enough!
The ProTeam ProVac is actually quite light, and still gets a great amount of dirt. The Advance Adgility backpack vacuum is the lightest in its class, at 6.4 pounds.
dirt
There are lots of variables. Is it sandy, loamy, clay or mixture? Is it saturated with water or very dry? There is a very wide range, but I would expect it to weigh about 4-5 pounds a cubic foot, with a variability of several pounds either way. I think the weight-per-cubic-foot estimate above is low. Generally, a yard of topsoil is about one ton. Note that "a yard" in this case really means a cubic yard, which is 27 cubic feet. So, a cubic foot of topsoil is about 74 pounds, which seems to make sense inasmuch as a cubic foot of pure water is about 62 pounds. Depending on dirt of course but, approximately 75% of it's volume. Aggregates rule of thumb, the smaller the pieces the lighter the load per volume 1 yard of black dirt=+/- 1500lbs 1 yard of 8" boulders =+/- 3500lbs. boulders or compressed mass.
1 ton is 2,240 pounds (UK), in the US it's 2,000. So that would be 2,240 (UK)/2,000 (US) pounds of dirt.
You need to define "dirt" - do you mean loose topsoil, sand, sub-soil, garbage -etc, etc, and ALL have different weights .

Yes!
Depends on the type of dirt, what kind of yard you are using, etc... Generally, it will be a couple pounds or so.
The Californian bucket pump is an equipment used in the Gold rush of Australia. First off you need a hoe, some seeds, a bucket of water and dirt. 1. The dirt is where the seeds will be planted put them in an at least a 3 by 5 dimension. 2. Get rid of the dirt in the middle column. 3. Then put the bucket of water in the middle column. This will keep your crops nice and fresh. 4. Using the hoe, hoe the other pieces of dirt by using the right click button on your mouse. 5. Put the seeds on the hoed pieces of dirt by right clicking on the mouse. There, now you have a wheat farm.
