Answer for UK, Europe and countries running a 50 Hz supply service.

A domestic power supply enters the property as a single-phase two-wire circuit with a large fuse or cut-out. The distribution panel splits the circuit off into several smaller circuits each with its own fuse or circuit breaker.

A simple example in Europe would the nominal 230 v supply which would have a 60 amp fuse for a typical small property. The distribution panel would split that off into a 30 amp ring circuit, a 30 amp cooker circuit and a 10 amp lighting circuit. The advantage is that a fault in one circuit would blow only one of the fuses and would not disconnect the entire supply to the property.

What is ACDB panel?

ACDB stands for alternating current distribution board. A distribution board or panel is part of an electricity supply system. The panel splits the power up into circuits. At the same time, it uses fuses or circuit breakers to provide protection from electrical overload.

What is the basic purpose for using an electric panel?

The basic purpose of an electrical panel is to distribute the proper voltages and currents to the required loads connected to the electrical panel. Installed in the electrical panel are protective devices are known as breakers. Each breaker protects the load supply wire and does not allow the current to rise above the wires amperage rating. If the circuit load current does rise above the wire's ampacity, due to a short circuit in the load, the breaker disconnects the fault from the supply system and still allows the other circuits connected to the panel to operate without interruption.

How do you wire a circuit panel?

This type of question usually means you aren't ready to do this yourself. Study some electrical material and the National Electrical Code and work this answer out for yourself. If I were to give you an answer, you might attempt to do something you shouldn't be doing, and that may cost someone a shock, a home fire, or their life.

What is the difference between a run and a circuit?

run in a electrical system means a wiring & conduit runs coming from Panel Board Circuit Breaker to its branch circuit loads in a circuit. while circuit is a designated number of branch breaker in a panel board where power load was individual connected.
