You can't run this light on a 120V circuit and get the same light output if it is designed to run on a 240V service. You need a voltage converter transformer. They are a common item sold for international travel. The difference in frequency shouldn't affect the light.
I think they cant because I made aDC t AC inverter with a frequency of 60Hz but whenever I powered up my appliances all other gadgets worked fine apart from the halogen bulbs which blew all the time.

Not without spending a great deal of money. Appliances with motors and timers at 50 Hz would have to be changed out to 60 Hz components. Appliances that are strictly of a resistive nature will operate without any problem.
Your stereo system has an internal transformer in the power supply that is designed to operate at a given frequency. If it is designed to operate at the load your stereo system will use at 50 Hz, then yes. Otherwise this transformer will overheat when connected at the wrong frequency, and will burn out.
