Yes, since water's density is 1g/ml then 100 g of water does equal 100 ml, but this is not true for every substance. it depends on its density ( Density*volume=mass)

Does not convert; milligrams (mg) and grams (g) are measures of weight or mass and mL (milliliters) is a measure of volume.
