Either one is fine. But depending on what you're measuring, one of them will give you
a convenient number, and the other one will give you an awkward number.
Examples:
The length of a small paperclip: 30 millimeters, 0.000003 kilometer
The length of a major city block: 1,609,344 millimeters, 1.61 kilometers
centimetres. I'd say it's usually 15cm long
centimeters. a decimeter is 10 times as long as a centimeter.
Units of mass are used to measure mass, not length.
Centimeters
you measure the thickness of a book in inches.
to get the precise measurment of a line to the nearest milimeter you have to divide 5/6*15-7 when you solve that you answer should be 20.3 and then multiply 45 and your answer should be 193.3if you have any questions about this problem email me at : justinb2@gmx.com Thank You
This should not be taken as a precise measurement of 1 mm, but this hypen: - is approximately a millimeter in length. It's the closest I can do on the keyboard.
There are 2.54 centimeters in one inch. So take your measurement in inches and multiply it by 2.54 to change the unit to centimeters. In this case, the answer is 109.22 centimeters. Algebraic Steps / Dimensional Analysis Formula 43 in* 2.54 cm 1 in = 109.22 cm
If by mm2, you mean mm2. Then it means square millimeter - a measurement of area being one millimeter by one millimeter. It is equal in size to 0.01 cm2 (1 mm = 0.1 cm and 0.1 x 0.1 cm = 0.01 cm2).
miles
An ordinary size book should be measured in centimeters.
miles Distances between cities should be measured in either miles or kilometers.
kilometers
measure you should probably put down is kilometers
You could measure the length or width of it but you would have a decimal. You should be using centimeters.
You're fine don't worry.
Liter is a specific unit; the question should be, "metric units for volume". Volume is measured in cubic meters; for larger volumes you might use square kilometers; for smaller volumes, such as those that occur in everyday situations, you would usually use cubic decimeters (= liters), cubic centimeters (= milliliters), or cubic millimeters.
milimeter or money market Should be millimetre (or millimeter).
centimeters
This distance is 20 000 000 cm.
centimeters or cm in the metric system or SI and in the customary inches or in.
