Best Answer

Weight in a scientific form is measured in Newtons (N). Which is derived from the equation F=ma.

Mass in the other hand is in more common use to most people and is usually measured in Kilogrammes (Kg) or Pounds (lbs), or stones and pounds (st & lb).

Well, we usually use pounds because we're in weird America that doesn't use the metric system. But it all depends on the size of the object you're measuring! Sorry I'm not an expert on this, but I tried!

How are the mass and the weight of an object measured?

Mass being matter contained in a body is usually measured by beam balance or physical balance whereas weight is measured by a spring balance for it depends on gravitational pull of a particular place and can be zero.
