Ten to the power of one is '10^1' .

Except for manipulation of indices(powers/exponentials), we don't normally write ten like this . When '10' is written , it is deemed to be the power of '1'.

As an example

10 x 10^3 becomes

10^1 X 10^3

Remember the rule for indices. If the coefficient , '10' is this case, is the same for both terms, we add the indices.

Hence 10^1 X 10^3 = 10^4

Oh, dude, writing 10 to the power of 1 is like the easiest math question ever. You just write it as 10. That's it. No need to overcomplicate things, it's just a fancy way of saying 10 multiplied by itself once. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
