There are both imperial and US pints, so you have to watch out.

1 US Pint = 2 US Cups

1 Imperial Pint = 2.4 US Cups

There are two cups in a pint. In school, they often teach this concept using

the gallon man. There is a song and printables online.

You have the big G for gallon. Inside goes the 4 Quarts. Inside the four quarts

are 2 pints. Inside each pint is 2 cups.

For me, this method makes it really easy to remember the conversions.
