Because 3.5+5.0+0.5=9
Then 9 divided by 3=3
Sure there is probably more than one way to make a dollar with 50 coins, but my solution is... 15 nickels and 35 pennies equals a dollar. 15 x .05 = .65 35 x .01 = .35 15+35=50 .65+.35=1.00

50 - 35 = 15
35% of $50 is $17.50; therefore, 35% off of $50 is $32.50.

You could add all 50 test scores or use frequency. Add 35 times 80 percent to 15 times 70 percent and then divide by the 50 students.
35 * 05 = 175
Total scores of the 35 juniors = 35 x 80 = 2800 Total scores of the 15 seniors = 15 x 70 = 1050 Combined total score = 2800 + 1050 = 3850 Average or arithmetic mean of the set of 50 students = 3850 ÷ 50 = 77.
35 out of 50 = 100*35/50 = 70%
35 out of 50 is 70% 50 out of 35 is 142.86%
