Actually, Ichigo was born in 1985 in the manga. Although the Bleach manga came out in Japan in August 2001, this makes Ichigo 16 years old. However when he was introduced for the first in the series he was 15 years old at the time because it was late May when he met Rukia Kuchiki and became a Soul Reaper and his Birthday is July 15th in both the manga and anime series.This shows that so far, the story plotline took place in May 2001- April 2003 in the manga. In the Anime series Ichigo was born in 1988 since the Anime came out in Japan in October 2004, and just like the manga, Ichigo was 15 years old when first introduced and the story plotline took place from May 2004 - April 2006 so far in the anime. Ichigo is 17 years old and is almost getting ready to graduate from High School.
