HOW TO CALCULATE AREA?

The formula is Length x Width. Here is an example. Lets say I have a square. The width is 7 and the length is 8. & x 8 is 56. So the area is 56

The answer depends on the shape. There are formulae for some simple shapes. Some more complicated shapes can be partitioned into simple shapes. You can then calculate the area of each simple shape and add the results together. With still more complicated shapes, yo will need to adopt more demanding methods.
