Hi,

these two are two different measurements, one determines how much you use per hour and the other how much you use per mile. To convert, you need to know how fast you are going in mph.

Example:

If you are going 50mph and use 10gph, you diviide the miles driven in one hour on the gallons used in an hour, 50mph/10gph = 5 mpg, as you can see the h goes away as the value is equal giving h/h=1 and therefore it is removed.

Doing it the other way around will give you the gallons per mile, 10gph/50mph = 0,2 gpm.

First you need to take mpg and multiple that number by the time it takes you to use one gallon
