If I did my math correctly, here are all the factors of each number.

108: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, 27, 32, 54, 108

120: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 24, 30, 40, 60, 120

As far as I can tell, the greatest common factor is 12.

Four is the largest number that divides into both 8 and 100.

Thus, we call 4 the gcf of 8 and 100.

It is also commonly called the greatest common divisor, and it may be written as: 4 = gcd(8, 100).
