One of the factors is 5, so one way to do this is to keep going on multiples for 8 until you reach a number with a factor of 5 (a number ending in 0 or 5).When you get there, keep doing the multiples of 7 until you either reach it or pass it. In this rare example, the LCM was the product of the three numbers (5*7*8=280). Although this case is rare, it is not unknown, nor is it uncommon. Be warned, the LCM will not always be the product of the numbers. But I suggest you multiply the numbers before you figure up the LCM. The LCM can not be higher then the product. If you multiply first, you know when to stop or if you've gone too far as a result of a minor multiplication or addition error. Just some helpful advice.
