Let the numbers be 'm' & 'n'

Hence by ,multiplication

mn = -80

By addition m + n = -11

Algebraically rearrange

m = - 11 - n

Substitute

(-11 - n) n = -80

Multiply out the brackets

-n^2 - 11n = -80

n^2 + 11n - 80 = 0

This is now in quadratic form to be factored.

( n + 16)(n - 5) = 0

Hence

n = -16 & n = 5

Done!!!! Hope that helps!!!!!

(

-80
