How do you do an acrostic poem for the word pitch?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

How to Write An Acrostic Poem:

Write the letters of your word or phrase down the left-hand side of your page, with one letter on each line. You can skip a line between letters if you want to leave room to write more than one word.

Now, think of words which begin with each letter - don't try to make a poem yet, just write down all the words you can think of which will describe or explain pattern. Use a thesaurus if you have trouble thinking of words! If you need more room, continue the list on another page!

Once you have a list, start thinking of how to write your poem. Which words or phrases are the best ones to describe or explain a pattern? Which will make the clearest mental image? Which will make your readers understand patterns the best?

Nobody else can tell you what to write - poetry is your own emotion put onto the page! Click on the Related Questions for more help.

Can you do a major in psychology and minor in sociology when doing your degree?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

You could, but ask yourself how would you use it once you finished. Both are major subjects just alone without pairing them, but , again, the big question is can you get a job when you are done? Psychology by itself doesn't get you a job unless you go on to a MA in counseling or a PhD in clinical psychology. Anthropology is a wonderful area of study but finding a job other than teaching is hard. If you don't like hot dry buggy places then it isn't for you. If you wouldn't like the jungles with big spiders and snakes it isn't for you. If you have allergies or sunburn it isn't for you. I love anthropology but wouldn't have been good at it for all the reasons above.

Are robots better than human teachers?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Robots may be able to answer more questions, but it takes human teachers to connect with the students. If the sudent is having a bad day, the robot wont recognize that, nor will it know to go out of its way to help the student sort out fixing grades or life situations. I for one love the kids that I work with and appreciate them for the individuals that they are. A robot wont identify with them nor know to give positive reinforcement.

How long does it take to complete 65 credit hours as a full time student?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It will take approximately two years. You might be able to cut off one semester by taking summer and interim sessions (if the curriculum allows it).

It took me 1 1/2 years to get 65 credit hours. I go to community college and it depends on how high the grade is you receive for the course. For instance I had a b in one class and received 9 credit hours for it and I had an a in another 3 cred class and got 12 credit hours for it. If your school runs that way this is how you accomplish that many credit hours in a little bit of time.

What are three consecutive numbers that sum to 771?

User Avatar

256, 257, 258

Let the three numbers be n-1, n, n+1, then:

(n-1) + n + (n+1) = 771

→ 3n = 771

→ n = 257

→ the three numbers are 257-1 = 256, 257 and 257+1 = 258

Characteristics of being a responsible student?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I would like to compliment you for wanting to improve your responsibility - wanting to improve is the first step in getting there!

Here are some specific tips for being more responsible:

  • Be on time for classes and meetings. If you don't have a watch, you will need to keep an eye on the classroom clock. Being on time means you don't miss anything, and it is also polite not to keep others waiting on you.
  • Keep an assignment notebook. Write all of your assignments in one place, and keep that notebook with you all the time! This way, you will never forget what to do or when it's due.
  • Do your work when it is due. Keep a calendar at home where you write down all your due dates - this way, you have a big reminder of when you need to get busy studying or writing. Being responsible means making yourself do the work even if it is boring.
  • Do your own work. Sometimes it looks as if cheating would be easy, or would be a good way to get ahead. Responsible people realize that this is morally wrong, and do their own work.
  • Know when to have fun. A responsible student will not skive off schoolwork in order to socialize. Do the work first, then go have fun!

What classes do you need to take in community college to major in political science before transferring to a 4 year university to major in political science?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Well, for your first term take the following classes (or equivalent depending on the community college you attend): pos110, eng105 (or an acceptable math class), two liberal studies (ls) classes, and some general elective class (ge).

The second term take: pos120, the eng105 is a year long course so it will carry over, also the two ls classes, and then another general elective class. Now onto your second year at the community college.

For the third term take: some pos elective (i would consult a counselor on a specific class), two ls classes again, then some minor course, and another general elective.

Then for your fourth term everything is basically the same as the third except take pos201.

After this it's onto a four year university to get your bs in pos (after a couple more years of course).
