Using the Gauss' Law of Magnetism

We know total flux will be zero

flux(top)+flux(bottom)+flux(curved side)=0 ------- (a)

flux(bottom)= -25e-3 (GIVEN) (-ve shows inward direction)

flux(top)=B*A=(1.6e-3)*[3.14*(0.12)^2]=2.304e-5

Put the values in eq (a)

you'll get flux(curved side)= +24.97e-3 (+ve shows direction is outward)

Circular magnetic field will create around the conductor.

What is the moment of inertia of a hollow cylinder?

Through the axis of the circular end it is MR2, but the middle of the cylinder length wise is (1/2)MR2 + (1/12)ML2

What is the vertical cross section of a cylinder?

The vertical cross section of a cylinder is a rectangle. It is created by slicing the cylinder along a plane parallel to its base. The resulting shape will have the same height as the cylinder but a width equal to the diameter of the base.

What shape is magnetic field produced when current is passed through the wire?

it is called the thumb rule right hand curled means flux line thumb means direction of current. there will be a reversal of flux.

What is the advantage of using Gauss's law in the field of physics instead of using Coulomb's?

Gauss' law can be used quite easily to find the net field through a gaussian surface, or any body, by cleverly constructing a suitable gaussian surface. The net field is equal to the charge enclosed within the gaussian surface divided by the permittivity of the medium through which field is calculated.

What is AWGN channel?

An AWGN channel adds white Gaussian noise to the signal that passes through it.

A Gaussian surface does not enclose a charge Does it mean that E equals 0 on its surface?

No.there can be electric field on the Gaussian surface even if the charge enclosed by it is zero. However ,net flux will be zero through the surface.

What happens to the compass needle when the circuit is shut off?

Yes it will show .It is because if electric current is passed through the wires then it will become an electromagnet and show magnetic properties. But there should be a circular coil in the circuit then only that part will show magnetic properties.

Describe the cross-sections that are formed when a cylinder is intersected by a plane?

In Geometry, cross-section is the shape made when a solid is cut through by a plane. The cross section of a circular cylinder is a circle. * * * * * There are also cross-sections that are ellipses or rectangles.

What Created around a conductor when electrons flow through that conductor?

Whenever a charge passes through a conductor, a magnetic field is produced. Hence, whenever a current carrying conductor is placed in a magnetic filed, it will experience a force whose direction is determined by Fleming's left hand rule.
