This conversion isn't too tricky- all you need is dimensional analysis, which is also called the factor label method.

Start with what you are given, and just like with fractions in algebra, you can multiply the units out with factors of one to get the answer you want.

350 feet * 60 seconds * 60 minutes * 1 mile = 1260000 miles = 238.6364 miles

1 second * 1 minute * 1 hour * 5280 feet = 5280 hours = 1 hour

So there's the math. You can see how the labels on the top are canceled by their equivalents on the bottom. The labels in the answer are bolded, to illustrate that they don't cancel.

As long as your labels all cancel at the end you can use those "factors of one" or you can call them conversion units to arrive at your answer: 350 feet per second is about 239 miles per hour.
