I had the same problem a while back and thought it was a rear main seal. Took it to Ford fleet where for about $80 they put dye in the oil and found that it was actually coming from something on the back top of the engine. They replaced a simple seal and took care of it. Total job was less than $200. The same thing (leak) happened again a year later and turned out to be Jiffy Lube not getting the fuel filter seal in right when they changed oil and fuel filter. So make sure it is in fact engine oil and not diesel fuel (which is oil also) and don't assume the worst. My truck has well over 200,000 miles on it and doesn't leak a drop.
