The kinetic energy (movement energy) of the ball when it leaves the gun is gradually converted into gravitational potential energy as it moves up and slows down. Eventually it reaches its highest point and stops. It has zero kinetic energy, all the energy has been converted into gravitational potential. The ball then starts to fall under gravity. The gravitational potential energy is converted back into kinetic energy. No energy is lost so the ball arrives back where it started with the same kinetic energy it left with or to put it another way at the same speed it left.
If you do not ignore air resistance it arrives back a bit slower and the physics gets much much more complicated..........

Straight means starting from one point and goes in same path and join at end point

A baseball, cannonball, or other projectile launched at a 45° angle above the horizon will achieve maximum horizontal range. A projectile launched straight up will achieve maximum altitude, but you kind of have to watch it and be careful when it returns.
displacement
No, neglecting air resistance, all objects fall at the same rate regardless of their mass or shape. Galileo was right about this, as proved on the Apollo 15 mission to the moon. An astronaut on the moon (where there is no air) simultaneously dropped a hammer and feather, and they both fell straight down at the same rate, and hit the ground at the same time.
It would depend on what the angle is, what it is deflected off, and if its all straight then.... South
the resistance of a body to change its state of rest or uniform motion in a straight lin
It is called Free Fall.
Line
Without air resistance, the path of a projectile over a small part of the Earth's surface, under the influence of gravity alone, is always a piece of a parabola ... as long as it's not launched straight up or straight down.

Lightning bolts are not straight because they are looking for the path of least resistance Lightning bolts want to find the path of least resistance so they can make it to the ground faster. Lightning bolts are zig-zag because they are finding the easiest path to the ground.
it experiences air resistance
